Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-03-18

Contura is designed for local, user-controlled data.

Important clarification:

  • Your body measurements are stored on your device by default.
  • If you enable iCloud sync, those measurements are stored in your iCloud account.
  • We do not run our own backend that centrally stores your measurement history.

1. Data We Handle

In this policy, "handle" means store locally, sync through Apple services you enable, or process through selected service providers for specific features.

A) Data you create in the App

  • Body part entries (waist, hip, chest, arm, thigh, calf, wrist, neck, custom)
  • Measurement values and units
  • Timestamps
  • Optional notes

Default location: on-device storage. Optional location: your iCloud account if iCloud sync is enabled.

B) Optional Apple Health data

If you grant Health access, Contura may read and/or write supported measurements. You can revoke Health permissions at any time in the Health app.

C) Optional device permissions

  • Photos: only when you choose to save/share generated images.
  • Notifications: only when you enable reminders.

D) Product analytics data (Mixpanel)

We use Mixpanel for product analytics and initialize it with different project tokens for production and non-production builds. We identify analytics activity using an app installation identifier. We do not require account signup in the App. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

E) Subscription state data (RevenueCat)

Entitlement/subscription status, product/paywall context, and technical identifiers required to validate purchases and restore entitlements.

2. Why We Handle This Data

  • Provide core product functionality
  • Sync user data across devices (if iCloud is enabled)
  • Support optional sharing and reminders
  • Operate subscriptions, validate access, and support restore flows
  • Improve product quality through aggregated usage analytics

We do not sell personal information.

3. Where Data Is Stored or Processed

  • On your device: Measurement records are stored locally by default.
  • In your iCloud account (optional): If enabled, Apple CloudKit/iCloud keeps your data in sync across your devices.
  • In Apple Health (optional): If enabled by you, supported measurements can be read/written through HealthKit.
  • In Photos (optional): Saved images are written to your Photos library only with permission.
  • In Mixpanel (analytics processor): Product analytics events and related analytics properties are processed by Mixpanel.
  • In RevenueCat (subscription processor): Subscription and entitlement processing is handled by RevenueCat.
